I believe that, through a deeper understanding of ourselves as one species interrelated to and dependent on the environment and all other living species, there is hope. We can then move from our anthropocentric position, destructive to the planet as a whole, to a biocentric position that will support more balanced, harmonious relationships with Nature. This ecological perspective will guide and transform society’s cacophony of hatred, intolerance and greed into a richly varied fugue of love, mutual respect and nurturing support for the Earth.
